Liza Pinheiro is a young and passionate agriculturist, entrepreneur, educator, and environmental advocate who has dedicated herself to promoting sustainable living through kitchen gardening, organic farming, composting, and ecological awareness.
She is the founder of “Fruits of Hardwork” and has inspired numerous individuals, families, schools, and communities across Goa to reconnect with nature and discover the joy of growing their own food.
Her commitment and innovation have earned her several recognitions, including the “Business Diva 2022” Award for Best Start-up and the “Goa Star Woman 2023” Award in Agriculture.
What makes Liza truly special is her ability to make gardening simple, practical, and enjoyable. Whether she is working with students, teachers, families, or community groups, she has a remarkable gift of transforming ecological concepts into hands-on experiences that people can easily adopt in their daily lives.

Cultivating Healthy Homes
As part of the Franciscan Green Homes Project, the Kitchen Gardening Workshop encouraged parishioners to discover the joy of growing vegetables, herbs and fruits within their own homes.
The workshop highlighted simple and sustainable gardening practices that families can adopt using available spaces such as backyards, terraces and balconies. Participants also learned about soil preparation, raising healthy seedlings, seasonal vegetable cultivation, responsible watering, natural plant care and eco-friendly gardening practices.
